The Michigan Building Code allows for you to apply for your building permit with out the need of truss drawings from the manufacturer.
Per section - R802.10 Wood Trusses
- The truss design data sheet, Figure R802.10.1, may be provided to the building official at the time of permit application, as an alternative to design drawings as permitted in Section R106.1.4

All you need to do is fill in the job site address.
The reason for the necessity of the Roof Loading Data Sheet is simple. From the time you apply for your permit and the time the final manufactured trusses show up on site a lot of site variations and conditions can happen. We want to ensure that the set of final drawings that are delivered match the trusses as they were manufactured. If multiple sets or preliminary drawing are used for your inspection this can cause delays and un-necessary lost time for your project.
